Cycling routes in the Weerribben and Giethoorn

Weerribben and Giethoorn cycling routes are loops on towpaths and village roads around National Park Weerribben-Wieden. Cycling is on land; boating is on water. At Nijenhuis you can do both from the same jetty in Wanneperveen.

We do not hire bikes. This is the weekend pattern we see at the jetty: sail in the morning, cycle in the afternoon.

1. Arrive at Veneweg 199, Wanneperveen.
2. Sail in the morning to Giethoorn or Belt-Schutsloot.
3. Cycle a short Weerribben loop (about 18–25 km) in the afternoon.
4. Leave the bike at the house, pitch or car before you board.
